We have transferred the tailored principle to coils: where otherwise only coils with a single sheet thickness are used, slit strips of almost any thickness, quality or surface finish are now combined with each other to form a laser-welded coil several hundred meters long. A steel band that offers all the advantages of a classic tailored product and is widely used in the automotive industry. 

Application in the progressive die. 

With the system technology for the production of tailor welded coils, we have opened up completely new areas of application for tailor-made steel solutions. So far, laser-welded products have not been suitable for further processing in progressive die, as they do not process individual sheets. This is now possible because a tailor welded coil can be processed like a normal coil. In addition, it can also be used in transfer directly from the coil, in roll profiling and in panel operation.
